Meeting of the Comenius Team, now on with the presence of four students (two from the 3rd grade and two from the 4th grade).

Project Meeting in Idrija (Slovenia)




The aim of the meeting was:
1. To present :
- a resource CD with stories and related activities,
- a template of a resource CD with proverbs and related activities,
- a mini research »How we address others«;
2. To learn about Slovene school system and partner institutions,
3. To reflect and discuss how we can promote developing emotional/social intelligence in
children ;
4. To plan activities in Year 2 of the project.

Working meetings of teachers had been scheduled so that on the first day participants would have reported about their ideas and proposals for work in the second year of the project. A round table discussion on the next day offered a cue for reflection on the objectives of the project.

The next day, when only a trip was in the program, was aimed at individual contacts, links and exchanging experience and ideas.

The last day was devoted to work in small groups and coming to decisions about common activities in the future.

We agreed on the importance of setting the values of our project and assessing what the outcomes of the project would be for the children. Part of the work will be done in 3 groups, according to age groups of children.

Next meeting, devoted to work with younger children, will be in Portugal between 15th and 20th February 2010.

Teachers Council to discuss the 3rd year of the Educational Project of Externato Santa Catarina – “ With the arms open into the World – Biodiversity and Cultural Diversity” and presentation of the two subprojects for the school year 2009/10


Meetings with Parents of each class/group about the 3rd year of the Educational Project and subprojects: Curricular Project of each class/group, Comenius Project and Eco-School Project. Material for the activity “Proverbs” –The final products are ready.
