Activity: Exhibition
“Christmas in the partner countries”, for the school community

The eighty two students of the lower Primary started their researches about Christmas in the partner countries, as follow:
- 1st grade – Christmas in England and Ireland;
- 2nd grade – Christmas in Turkey and Malta;
- 3rd grade – Christmas in Italy, Slovenia and Romania;
- 4th grade – Christmas in Portugal.

Activity: Elaboration of Christmas postcards for the partner schools.

Activity: A question of values… (for children of 5 years old).

Christmas Party – Teachers presented a Play about Values.

Elaboration of blogues of the Project - in Portuguese and in English.

November 2008 __________________________________

• Activity: Behaviours in two chosen stories
  - “Stone Soup” – to children of 5 years old and to the 3rd grade;
  - “The mysterious eggs” – to children of 3 and 4 years and to the 1st and 2nd grade.

• Activity: Saint Martin Day
  
  - Presentation of a role play about the legend, done by children of the 2nd and 3rd grade;
  - Elaboration of the invitations for the play by children of the 1st grade;
  - Distribution of roast chestnuts for the school community by children of the 4th grade.
  
  

• Activity: “Christmas of solidarity”:
  Participation of children up 2 years old.
  

• Activity: research about Christmas in the partner countries of the Project, done by children of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade.
  
  - 1st grade – Christmas in England and Ireland;
  - 2nd grade – Christmas in Turkey and Malta;
  - 3rd grade – Christmas in Slovenia and Romania;
  - 4th grade – Christmas in Portugal.

• Analyse of the results of the questionnaires.

• Activity – “Day of the Water”
  
  Some students from the Lower Primary (3rd grade) came into the groups of the Kindergarten and read stories about the importance of the Water in the world and the necessary change of behaviours to preserve it.

• Preparation of the material for the first Project Meeting in Isparta ( Turkey).

• First Project Meeting in Isparta (Turkey).
  

September 2008 __________________________

• Meetings with parents of each class/group about the 2nd year of the Educational Project and subprojects: Curricular Projects of each class/group, Eco-School Project and Comenius Project.
  
• Contact with teachers and invitation for the Comenius Team.
  
• Contact with Parents to answer the questionnaires for the Behaviour Project and giving them the questionnaires.
  
• Development of Activities about Rules and Behaviour in all classes/groups, using the methodology of project’s work.

August 2008

Meeting with teachers about the 2nd year of the Educational Project (2007 – 2010) – “ With our arms opened to the World – Biodiversity and cultural diversity”: presentation of the subprojects for the school year 2008/09 (Eco-School and Comenius Project).
